A “Laughter Show” gathering was held in North Vancouver, BC, to cherish and celebrate the winter solstice, also known as “The Yalda Night ”, in an old Persian traditional manner. SACIF had one of the few available booths for different groups and participants. The Event was mainly a musical one,  with minor interruptions in between, where the MC appreciated the program sponsors and encouraged people to donate to SACIF through the donation box we had in our booth.

Ms. Naghmeh, SACIF’s BOD rep.. for the event, gave a 5-minute speech pitching SACIF’s cause to the 50+ participants. She mentioned we were founded in 2019 as a BC Society to help vulnerable children attend school with peace of mind, mainly with their educational needs. SACIF was listed among Canadian-approved nonprofit charities after its charitable number was issued by CRA in 2023 in Canada.   

Ahmad and Mohammed, two SACIF volunteers, helped her with the donation collection. We also had a big informative banner, brochures and a tablet at our booth to get people’s information in case they were interested in volunteering or hearing about future events.
