The second public gathering of the non-profit charity “SACIF – Save A Child International Foundation” (the first live musical/cultural event) after the “COVID Pandemic” era, was held on October 5, 2024, from 3 pm to 6 pm, at the beautiful Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in North Vancouver, BC, with the sincere cooperation and assistance of the church officials.
SACIF’s musical and cultural program was carried out by amazing job of event hosting of Ms. Ghazal Kazemnia and Ms. Naghmeh Keshavarz, with the intimate collaboration and support of Vancouver’s prominent musician and conductor Mr. Amir Islami and Mr. Sepehr Hojjati the founder of VANCHOIR another very talented musician and composer and fabulous performance of the Nunvazan music group, as well as the close assistance of Mr. Homan Roshanravan -in the field of providing technical services for adjusting instruments and audio equipment -(Sound System Services – Classic Studio), the tireless work of Mr. Ali Haghaghatjoo the freelance professional photographer took care of the required photography matter for the whole duration of the event, and last but not least, with presence of dozens of devoted hard-working and eager volunteers. The two main goals of this program were fundraising in order to prepare funds for programs to help the needy children during their education and attendance in schools, along with introducing the mission, and future plans of SACIF to the audience, which was carried out in the framework of a cultural musical program and captured the audience’s deep attention.
A: Cultural /Art programs
In this program, a group of young promising musicians and artists led by prominent musician and conductor Mr. Amir Eslami (NONAVAZAN Orchestra / VANCHOIR Iranian Choir / Iranian Music Society of BC) performed some pieces of Iranian music for an hour mesmerizing and impressing all the audience with the guidance of the musicians and the amazing talent of the band members.
– Mr. Reza Kianyan, a great musician and pianist who recently settled in Vancouver, also presented his original performance, a special piano piece called “Moment of Love” which he has composed in honor of SACIF charity, and a piano duet with his very talented son, Abtin who accompanied him with his Clarinet, and both were praised and applauded by the audience.
– Ms. Asal Ahadi of Chichaklar Dance Company another young and wonderful dancer in Vancouver, performed two beautiful and artistic dances – Iranian dance to the song “My Home” by Marjan Farsad and a dance to the song of the children’s movie “Toy Story” song – as beautifully as possible and They made the heavenly environment of the event brighter and joyful.
B- SACIF chairman and Sponsors’ speeches programs:
– Dr. Peyman Raoofi, the prominent psychologist, chairman and member of the board of directors of SACIF (also a member of the board of directors of the American Iranian Psychological Association, the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA), the ProFamily group and the founder of Global Children’s Health), delivered a short but very informative speech talking about the Millennium Declaration, which in 2000 specified the basic values for international relations (determining and explaining the Millennium Development Goals for the realization of values around the world by 2015). He also compared and demonstrated the fact that SACIF’s goals, mission and visions match the definedMillennium Declaration values. His speech text both in Persian and English have been prepared for further information and publication in the media. He stated that unfortunately today more than 64 million children of school age are out of education, while research shows that our acts of kindness, generosity, and volunteering can help improve our mental health and that of the community. We should go as far as to ensure that in every land of the human community: Every child lives a healthy life, Every child survives and grows, Every child lives in a clean and safe environment, Every child is protected from violence and exploitation and Every child learns with the necessary conditions (learning opportunities are provided for them).
–Mrs. Sara Kazimi, the founder of the famous non-profit foundation WOF – World Orphanage Foundation, registered in America: Sarah is one of SACIF’s long-time supporters and collaborators who lives in America, however has been staying in Afghanistan for some time to check and control the services WOF has provided vulnerable children in Afghanistan through his foundation’s office. Despite the 12-hour time difference between the broadcast time and her place of residence in Afghanistan, she enthusiastically managed her time to stay awake and virtually elaborate about the goals of WOF and the joint services of SACIF in Afghanistan (implemented a few years ago) and later in Tanzania. She also answered to a few questions asked by audience regarding WOF activities and its mission. Mrs. Kazemi is quite active in Afghanistan, Africa, India and America helping orphaned and destitute children in various fields such as providing education and training facilities, building sanitation and drinking water systems by digging deep wells and has saved thousands of children and families in the most deprived areas, the circle of activities of this exemplary and philanthropic lady is still expanding.
– PALS Autism Society School-Vancouver: Pulse is one of the most important educational organizations in Vancouver, for many years SACIF has allocated funds as a sponsor to help the implementation of their projects. Ms. Katy Harandi, the chairman of the board and the president of the association, Andrea Kasunic, the executive director, and Allison Arai, the company treasurer, were present at event and talked about expectation of the PALS from individuals, organizations and authorities to support the school. PALS School of Autism is a private primary and secondary school in British Columbia for children and adolescents with autism, designated by the Ministry of Education as a special education school, and has an approved PALS year-round before and after school care program. It offers its education, training and programs using effective and scientifically validated methods, based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
– Kimia Social Arts Society: Mrs. Lili Molavi and Niusha Mogharebi, members of the association’s board of directors, expressed their views on the goals of this active and effective association in the Vancouver community. The Alchemy Association managed by Dr. Zohra Ansari has succeeded in bringing together different communities without borders and promoting healing through art. Their goal is to increase health, empower people, and inspire a global movement toward peace, love, and happiness. The mission of this association includes cultivating a healthy lifestyle for those who are struggling with challenges, they arebelievers in the necessity to respect the earth, respect and pay attention to our past and ancestors and the beautiful land in which we live.
– The Women’s Association of Yaran was one of the other great sponsors of this event, which has been formed in Vancouver on March 8, 2023 in order to raise the level of awareness and knowledge of women in cultural, social, legal, economic, educational and women’s health fields. It has significant activity in these very important fields in everyone’s life, especially families and women.
